Vilehand, an Istanbul death metal quartet formed in 2020, takes inspiration from Swedish death metal legends of the 1990s. The general sound is dark and groovy, with emphasis on old school death metal riffs and drum patterns. Growling vocal and screams often heard in extreme metal are used. The lyrics are mostly in horror/shock style, describing painful physical experiences such as suffocation.
